Distressed

I've always admired Anthropologie's clothes, but they also have a really great selection of accessories and furniture.

I'm in love with this dresser's distressed wood and numbered drawers but I really don't think it's worth the $1000 price tag (unless it comes with Anthro clothes stuffed in its drawers).

In fact, I really think this is something I could make. Hmm...

Creative Papercraft Artists

I am amazed at the amazing craftmanship (craftpersonship?) of these projects. Intricate, delicate, detailed, and oh so terribly creative.

It makes me feel like getting my hands on a very sharp exacto knife and playing around!

Best

My brother and sister-in-law left this sweet note for me when they visited in December. It's just the thing to look at when I need a boost!

Anthropologie, Will you Marry Me?

I love Anthropologie. It's a store filled with interesting clothes, unique jewellery, and a dash of things for the home. Unfortunately, there isn't a Vancouver store and the closest location is in Seattle. (We won't talk about how I can't really afford to spend a lot of money there anyway!)

So in between trips to the States (and for the sake of my wallet), I visit the Anthro site and peruse the lovelies. These necklaces make my heart jump a little. They're both beautiful, but I think I prefer the vibrant yellow a bit more than the elegant grey.

PS. I hope you all had a lovely holiday with your loved ones. I am still relaxing and resting and trying to soak up as much as this little vacation I can. xo.

Yellow hearts Mint

Design Sponge showcases 'before' and 'after' photos of people's DIY projects (mostly furniture, sometimes rooms).

Today, I am showing you only an 'after' photo because this dresser is just too delicious. I love how the paint job makes it look distressed and best of all, I love how the electric yellow pops against the mint green.
